Whether you require molded cushioning for a ONE-OF-A-KIND item, or for MULTIPLE PRODUCTION RUNS, our FOAM-IN-PLACE system provides the ultimate in cost effective interior cushioning for HIGH VALUE and SHOCK SENSITIVE items. Interior parts for corrugated cartons, or carton-crate combinations are designed to PROTECT the product by "FLOATING" it within the carton, such as this 4 1/2 foot, $5,000 radio controlled airplane model. Depending on the SIZE, WEIGHT, FRAGILITY and VALUE of the product, as well as METHOD of SHIPMENT, protective interiors typically used in custom carton packaging include fabricated corrugated parts, loosefill foam "peanuts" or glued polyurethane foam sheets of varying thickness. While we employ these methods where appropriate, our molded foam cushioning (FOAM-IN-PLACE) system is FAR SUPERIOR, especially in packaging HIGH-VALUE and FRAGILE items. This system is similar to - but stronger than - the molded foam interiors used by high volume manufacturers for their shock-sensitive products.

WHAT IS IT ? FOAM-IN-PLACE, is a polyurethane material that starts as a liquid but expands into a firm, lightweight mold. This mold SNUGLY ENCAPSULATES and "FLOATS" VIRTUALLY ANY FRAGILE or HIGH VALUE PRODUCT. It is the most efficient and COST EFFECTIVE SYSTEM for quality custom packaging. HERE'S HOW IT WORKS       First, foam is dispensed into a properly sized and constructed carton lined with high strength film. Second, the film is folded over to allow placement of the product on the rising foam. Third, a second sheet is placed over the product and more foam is dispensed, creating the top. Finally, your product is cleanly encapsulated with protective foam within it's shipping carton. FOAM-IN-PLACE shipping containers can be effectively REUSABLE for shipments to be RETURNED or FORWARDED. Typical applications of high value or fragile products are unlimited.
